The Amanda Square (12") - Free Pattern

Well girls...I've been creating again. Nothing drastic. Just something simple.
I was looking for a specific pattern and wasn't finding what I wanted, so I just whipped this out.

The Amanda Square - 12"
Materials:
Worsted weight yarn ( I used Red Heart in the colors White, Cherry Red and Turqua)
I crochet hook

The color sequence (and stitch used):
Round 1- white (dc)
Round 2- cherry red (dc)
Round 3- turqua (dc)
Round 4- turqua (dc)
Round 5- turqua (dc)
Round 6- white (dc)
Round 7- cherry red (dc)
Round 8- turqua (dc)
Round 9- turqua (sc)
Round 10- turqua (sc)

Note:
In the corner stitches work (2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc). On Rounds 9 & 10 work (2 sc, ch 2, 2 sc).
To join means join with a sl st to the beg ch 3 or beg ch 1.
The beg ch 3 counts as a dc throughout the pattern.

So...let's get started.

With white, ch 4. Join to form a ring.
Round 1- ch 3 (counts as 1st dc here and throughout), working inside the ring, 2dc, ch 2, *3 dc, ch 2; repeat from * twice more, join, switching over to next color. (4 ch-3 spaces)

With cherry red,
Round 2- ch 3, dc in next 2 dc, work corner (2 dc, ch 2, 2dc), *dc in next 3 dc, work corner; repeat from * twice more, join, switching over to next color.

With turqua,
Round 3- ch 3, dc in next 4 dc, work corner, *dc in next 7 dc, work corner; repeat from * twice more, dc in next 2 dc, join.

Round 4- ch 3, dc in next 6 dc, work corner, *dc in next 11 dc, work corner; repeat from * twice more, dc in next 4 dc, join.

Round 5- ch 3, dc in next 8 dc, work corner, *dc in next 15 dc, work corner; repeat from * twice more, dc in next 6 dc, join, switching over to next color.

With white,
Round 6- ch 3, dc in next 10 dc, work corner, * dc in next 19 dc, work corner; repeat from * twice more, dc in next 8 dc, join, switching over to next color.

With cherry red,
Round 7- ch 3, dc in next 12 dc, work corner, *dc in next 23 dc, work corner; repeat from * twice more, dc in next 10 dc, join, switching over to next color.

With turqua,
Round 8- ch 3, dc in next 14 dc, work corner, *dc in next 27 dc, work corner; repeat from * twice more, dc in next 12 dc, join.

Round 9- ch 1, sc in next 16 dc, work corner (2 sc, ch 2, 2 sc), *sc in next 31 dc, work corner (2 sc, ch 2, 2 sc); repeat from * twice more, sc in next 14 dc, join.

Round 10- ch 1, sc in next 18 sc, work corner (same as round 9), *sc in next 35 sc, work corner; repeat from * twice more, sc in next 16 sc, join. Fasten off.

That's it. That's the square.
Now, I need to say this. I did not take your pattern or use another's pattern without permission. I really did sit down and write this up as I crocheted. If you feel this is your pattern, contact me. With so many people out there crocheting, there are bound to be many, many similar patterns out there. It's not my intention to step on anyone's toes.
With that being said, feel free to use this pattern. Just don't claim it as your own or sell it.
Thanks a bunch!
