This Morning...

 We had a hard frost.  I'm so not ready for Winter to be here.

 My view of the windshield from inside the truck while defrosting the windows, etc..  Interesting design, hey?

 I've spent a few moments working on the ripple while watching "Alaska State Troopers" on TV.  I'm on Row 39 at this point.  I figure I will need about 120 rows.  Maybe.

I'm currently sitting at the computer desk drinking my 2nd cup of coffee and visiting a few blogs, answering some emails, and updating my blog.

Up to this point, I've been enjoying the solitude of the house.  But, I just heard Big Daddy go into the bathroom.  So...no more peace and quiet for me today.  Oh well.  I plan to spend the day in my pajamas (nightgown, sweatpants, socks, slouchy hat) and veg out on the couch while crocheting.  A lovely lazy day after a busy week.

Fishing In January!

Here in my neck of the woods, it was 73 degrees yesterday!

That's unheard of in January!

It's sure been a weird winter!

Anyway, Big C came home from basketball practice yesterday afternoon and said "I'm going fishing".

I was thinking "yeah, right". "Nothing is going to be biting".

Well, I was wrong.

He came home with some crappie.

Some nice sized crappie.

That Big Daddy had to clean. :) (so glad it wasn't me)

I swear, I will try NOT to doubt my child again.

At least, not anytime soon. LOL

2nd Snow of the Winter

We had snow yesterday. Our second snow of the winter season. We're having a strange winter, that's for sure. It was 52 degrees the day before it snowed.

We woke up to about 1 to 2 inches of the white stuff and temperatures in the teens.

Medium J got around and cleared the walk-ways as well as started the car up to defrost. What a good kid! I'm a lucky mom!

First Snow Of The Season

We had our first "sticking" snow of the season on Dec. 6th. It didn't snow a whole lot, but it did stick around for most of the day.
