i bought them like that. they are being grown hydroponically. i think you could start the bulbs in a vase of water though. my instructions say to cover the bulbs half way up the bulb with water and keep the level there when you are watering. they also take indirect sunlight. this vase of bulbs came from Wal-Mart.
i love tullips..how did you start these? did you buy the bulbs and stuck into a vace?
