My daughter begged me to let her make these cookies for two days. We were exceptionally busy or I wouldn't have made her wait to do it, but she was able to get them done the evening after Thanksgiving. We make the "without peanut butter" version due to a peanut food allergy in the household. We've made these for many years now, and sometimes they turn out well, and sometimes they don't. If you don't boil the mixture long enough, they won't set up right. But who cares....you can always eat them with a spoon if necessary. LOL In any event, she did a good job.
