Little Girls Shoulder Bag (my own pattern)







My daughter is modeling the Little Girls Shoulder Bag. LOL Here's the free pattern:
Purse:
R1- ch 21, Dc in 4th ch from hook and in each rem ch, ch 1, do not turn.
R2- (sc, ch 1, sc, ch 1, sc) around post of last dc on R1. sc in each dc across to last dc. (sc, ch 1, sc, ch 1, sc) around post of last dc. sc in each dc up other side. Join with a sl st in 2st sc made. ch 1, do not turn.
R3-19 : Begin continuous rounds. Sc in each st around, placing a marker when each new round begins/ends.
After R19, sl st in next stitch and around to side crease, ch 1, sc in same st, sc in next st, ch 1, turn (this is row 1 of handle).
R2-62 of handle : sc in each sc, ch 1, turn. At end of R62, fasten off, leaving a tail of yarn for sewing the handle to the other side crease of purse.
Flower:
R1- ch 1, join to form a ring, ch 1. (sc, ch 3, sc) five times in loop. join with a sl st to 1st sc.
R2- sl st to loop. ch 1. (sc, ch 1, 5 tr, ch 1, sc) in each loop around flower. sl st to 1st sc. fasten off, weave in ends.
Attach flower and a matching button to purse with needle and thread.
Edging of purse body:
With constrasting yarn, or yarn used for flower, sl st around the last row of purse. Fasten off and weave in ends.
