We spent the time in Isla Roatan at Maya Cove, which is a private island. It's beautiful! The island has an animal sanctuary, a coral reef that's protected by the government, a private beach area, and Mayan Ruins that we were able to visit. The Mayan Ruins are not real, but rather, re-constructed at that place to preserve the natural ones. While we were on the island, a buffet lunch of native foods was served. We had BBQ baked chicken, fried sea bass, coconut red beans and rice, fried bananas, and a salad.
