There's something to be said for the good ole' fireworks of our childhood. Even though my kids are getting older and like to do the "cooler" stuff, this year I insisted that they spend their own money on their fireworks since we are going on a float trip next weekend. I took Small T to the fireworks stand here in town and guess what she bought? Yep...smoke bombs, snakes and sparklers. She had a few other things as well like some firecrackers and bottle rockets, but the majority were the old standby's. The only thing she didn't buy, that I love, are the strobe lights. They will blind you temporarily, but they really light up the area.

Traditional Fireworks
