Star Blanket for Boy Blue

One of my oldest nieces, the beautiful auburn haired Momma K, is expecting another baby in March of this year. Her first born is the little guy I call "Muffin Man". Baby #2 is supposed to be another boy and I will be calling him Boy Blue or Blue Boy. I'm leaning towards Blue Boy though.

Anyway, Muffin Man adores the star blankets that I made for him so Momma K brought me some yarn for a blanket for the newest baby boy. The yarn is "I Love This Yarn" from Hobby Lobby in the colors Pale Denim (solid) and Denims (variegated). I'm using the pattern called "Star Blanket" from www.bernat.com . This is the pattern that Momma K picked out while yarn shopping. I normally use the pattern "Beth's Little Star Afghan" but they are basically the same thing.

Here's a photo of the blanket that I started about an hour ago.

I think it's turning out nicely.
